I'm currently using "bittorrent" which seems to have a GUI and CLI version, but when I'm fetching several torrents it launches several instances - which I then have to leave around, running for uploading/seeds - what I'd rather have is one that gets launched once, then any other torrents get added into it and there is just one GUI to manage it all...For the odd torrents I do get I tend to use Vuze, but it can be a bit memory hungry.
*sigh* Vuze offers subscriptions to preferred content, an embed media player and web-browser, I just want the bit that gets files - I have the rest, so the eedjitwho spent their time writing all this just wasted their time and duplicated everything else. No-wonder todays software is bloated and buggy.
I've also tried TorrentFlux which is PHP based and can be put on a web server. Other than that, um... I think uTorrent is now available for Linux.
TorrentFlux is too heavy - I don't need a simple program to rely on a web server and back-end MySQL server )-:
And no uTorrent for Debian yet. Back to the drawing board!(part of which is is developing firewall rules to block bittorrent, if possible - yes, I know uTorrent can use encryption, but there are other ways)
