I'm actually wondering that myself - but some some weird reason I was under the impression that apt-cache used some magical protocol or something, but it's just HTTP, isn't it?
https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Monitors/22%26quot%3B+Monitors/22%22+Arianet+Cream+LED+Series+Widescreen+Monitor+?productId=44390You know I want to upgrade this screen, but I doubt the graphics card in this would cope.
Doubt the one in my PC would either - and I'm not sure these new PCs I'm building are up to it either - they only have analogue VGA outputs on them. Debian did "just work" though so I was impressed, but I get the feeling it's only "just working" and no-more. The motherboards have Intel graphics adapters on them, so I'm really not sure what the state of play is with them. In any-case, these are for general-purpose home/office use, built to a budget (£350 inc vat) nothing fancy, no games, etc. (well, maybe the odd flash thing or 2) I did get them DVD players so I'll see if they can play a DVD later (although knowing Debian, I suspect there's some work to do there!)
If they're better than my Atom desktop, I'll actually consider upgrading...
Firefox (iceweasel) launches full-screen too - some websites are really really bad when presented with a 1920 pixel-wide screen...I know I've written some! Mostly I get it right, but every so often I mess up.
:-)Most are sort of sensibly in the middle of the screen, but those that haven't bothered about screen width are somewhat interesting!
