... Gets the video device. So works ootb with my webcam. Uses v4l (both versions I believe) so skype might not see it without v4l1 loaded but mplayer's not picky.

I've got the new webcam & mic working correctly now. ÂNot only did I
have to select the correct input in Skype's options, but I had to play
with mixer settings, too. ÂAlthough I'm not 100% certain what I did!
That's with everything plugged in via the front panel connectors. ÂWho's
gonna bet that, when I get hold of cable extenders and plug everything
into the back panel (so I don't accidentally yank the wiring), it all
goes pear shaped again?
Black man got a lot of problems, but he don't mind throwing a brick
