Do you mean that you want to type in the amount in pence (13595, say)
and have it automatically formatted as pounds and pence (e.g. Â135.95)?

If so, the easiest way might be to enter values as pence, and then
divide by 100 into another cell (or the same cell on a different sheet
e.g. sheet2.a1 =sheet1.a1/100)

Otherwise, you might be able to write a custom format, similar to the
way formatting as percentage works by converting 0.1 to 10%?

A macro to shift the decimal point might be possible, but I can't see an
easy way that does not involve a circular reference.
