That's the thicker coax isn't it? > > Rob It is, but you might not find it easy. The AUI port on your oldskool network card would need some manner of converting to CoAx - usually with a transceiver. I s'pose it could be worth a shot - 10Mbps over 500m should be more than usable. Indeed, if you're in the running for it you could get an RJ45 -> Thick CoAx transceiver (or RJ45 -> AUI -> Thick CoAx) and hook up to your switch/router. Might need to specify 10Mbps half-duplex if you're doing that though. Grant.
