[LUG] Firefox, the Co-Op and SSL/TLS

Running Debian-Testing with iceweasel 3.5.9

Whenever I log on to any of the Co-Op websites, I normally get the
following error message

        The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

         - The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in
           a few moments.

         - If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
           connection.

        - If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make
sure that Iceweasel is permitted to access the Web.

And a click box "Try Again"

If I try again then _eventually_ I can log in. Sometimes after I restart
firefox.

All very irritating

If however I disable TLS 1.0, then there is no problem. This has been
happening for about a year or so now and I have finally complained to the
Co-Op who have asked me to try Konqueror as a browser.

        (Other procedures tried
                - removing cookies
                - clearing cache
                - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Error_loading_any_website)

Question: Has anyone else on this list had a similar problem logging in with the
Co-Op
and if so with what browser? Alternatively can anyone suggest a reason why
I might be having this problem?
