Have you tried using the online scanners from a variety of different
vendors, McAfee, Norton and any others. Assuming they still have those.


I'd guess those would use the same virus pattern definitions the local
program would use, so if the local one won't find it I'd be surprised if
they did.  Having said that perhaps the local installation has been
infected so the remote one might do better.
Tom mentioned he used AVG, not McAfee or Norton and whoever else has a
free online scanner you can use. They would be using different
definitions surely.

True.  I was just responding with reference to the ones mentioned.
