My guess is that LinkedIn sent an email to all email addresses in his address-book - including the list :)The link is relatively harmless - just takes you to the LinkedIn page to confirm them as a friend in the same way facebook, etc does it.If you don't know what LinkedIn is, think of it as a "professional" version of Facebook...
