I switched to OKI printers (LED not laser) and they work on MS OSs or SuSE or Ubuntu or Mint, and also always work with 'generic' drivers under CUPs as well as specific drivers. I tend to load two printers (one with OKI drivers as default, and one with 'generic' as spare, but rarely use spare) * mainly mechanical (paper jamming) but also print refusals. -- Regards Eion MacDonald -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/linux_adm/list-faq.html
