You make that sound scary, all it's doing is adding a slightly more up to date version of <car-salesman-voice> genuine windows advantage </car-salesman-voice> that we can even opt out of, and that's been in use for years. This news = meh.
Until the license-key that you're using is abused by a hacker and MS then thinks that your box is pirated and shuts it down.
And if your box is a server in a data centre, far far away and it's hosting some really important websites ...
