I have been looking for a "multimedia" type pc to plug in the telly, and
managed to be the right place at the right time as this small form
factor pc was going spare. A 8IG1000MK motherboard with
P4 266 and 512 meg Ram with an integrated 82865G Intel graphics sharing
32M of ram

It needed a DVD drive and is soon to have a wireless Kb & Mouse but it
connects via the VGA port to a Samsung telly
I put Linux Mint on and everything (yes everything ) works fine!!!!
Wireless Network DVD palyer mp3s flash BBC iplayer Cups printing I have
had to do only Ip address and edit the hosts file so I can use VNC and
ssh.

So no lappy needed just use the telly instead
Even the wife didnt know when we were watching Larkrise to Minions we
were using the Iplayer even on a 1/2 speed broadband connection.
