hi Dave.
Mine came with SLED (which i don't like) so looking at others, i have a spare copy of xp but don't want to use wins if i can help it. Just about to do a proper install of vector 6.0, the only troubles i seem to have so far are the wireless drivers (on pclinuxos, but the kernel is too early and im not too sure about installing another later one as 2.6.27.31 wouldn't boot) so,, ill try the install and see how it goes, let you know how i get on..

I don't like SLED either...or Unbuntu for that matter!

Oooh I like a nice SLED, well when it's snowing. Oh, not THAT type of SLED :-D

Never heard of Unbuntu, is that a derivative of Ubuntu perhaps? ;-)
Yeah wireless doesn't work with SLED - neither does the webcam

Sounds like this HP is pretty badly supported. Shame as isn't it one of the only netbooks out there with a reasonable screen resolution (something like 1280x800?).
I did think about trying vector.. I've heard a few people rave about it. Hopefully the install goes well and we will know that there another distro for the HP2133.
I tried Vector on an older IBM ThinkPad, P3 sort of spec and it was pretty good. IIRC it was Vector Linux 6 Lite, so more suited to an older machine. It was rather quick too.
