Maybe though Google releasing the ChomeOS might change peoples perception of what they really need. I mean, how many people need a bloated OS just so they can run an instant messaging app, e-mail and web browsers?I doubt that many people (if anyone) who has a netbook would need a full bloated office suite on there.
hi all,tiny core comes to mind (10meg download with gui, 6meg without) but i don't think it runs on ssd, trouble is then, an ide drive on the netbooks generally are quite large so one has the space for the larger o/s and software (even if you don't need most of it).
