Re: [LUG] Online photo printing

Hi,

I'm using f-spot to manage all our photos and my better half has decided we should get a large selection of them printed. I assume doing this online is a good plan so I'm looking for some recommendations. Photo quality and price are obviously important but I really want to know if any companies make this easy from Linux and in particular from f-spot.

I'm also somewhat paranoid about google (or similar) owning all my data so I generally shy away from things like Picassa. Perhaps I'm becoming a fossil :-)

Thanks.

Hi,

A couple of weeks ago The Gadget Show did a full review of 19 online photo printers, and the winner for quality and price was www.snapfish.co.uk

The were surprised how many of the big names dropped out early with poor quality. Looking at direct comparisons you could really see how bad some were, from for example a certain supermarket chain where you can print them on-site. Ease of use is not always the best metric when you'll be looking at the photos for years to come - is a couple of days too long to wait in that context?
