Re: [LUG] Music CD Database

Is
http://projects.gnome.org/rhythmbox/

what you need?

Or don't you want to stream the CD's.

I have seen a perl script which used the bar code from the CD to look up the Cddb database and display it in a form.
but as usual failed to note where is was ( possibly in a copy of Linux Mag or Linux Developer) It used a bar code scanner (usb) which costs about £30

I got the scanner to use in my Open bravo system in the Shop it works fine.

Grip also can put the data in a data in using DDJ scan ( don't know if it works as never tried it).

I have a stack of music CD's and I have been wondering about writing a

may well be programs already written to do just that in Linux.

I have done some googling but I have not found anything suitable yet.
Does anyone on the list have any recommendations please?
