I would tend to agree with the others about this, and use two mirrored
(RAID 1) disks. As already mentioned, synchronising a mirrored disk, and
still being online, is much more preferable than rebuilding the server.
The sysadmin and the users are happy. I do that with all our physical
servers (bar one). (Having said that we are now very much moving to
virtual servers with network storage. Which I am told is
mirrored...:-) )
