I remember reading something in Linux Format a few months (or maybe a year) back about this Userful software. I did give it a try but IIRC it didn't support 64-bit Ubuntu at the time, not to mention the fact it's proprietary. I'd love to do something like this using completely free software although the last time I tried (actually was about a year ago) it failed miserably. I could get two independent X displays using a dual head video card but I wasn't able to get two keyboards and mice (one PS/2, one USB) to work. Shame really as it would stop so many arguments with my two kids when they both want to use their PC.
