Yep, I found using Ubuntu it wasn't too bad to get the basic system up
and running (just boot from the Ubuntu Alternative CD, press F4 at the
boot screen and select LTSP server) but it can be time consuming locking
things down which I still didn't manage to fully finish off although it
should stop some of the users trying to play and change things. What I
did find disappointing was that some applications didn't seem to work
too well, Tuxtype was one of these where it would work fine, it wasn't
possible to quit it. I guess this would have to run as a local
application on the client itself, something I will look into at a later
date.

Yep, it was great to see them just sit at the terminal and just get
started straight away. They found the Firefox icon straight away and
got started. There were also a couple of other visitors (mums of the
kids I presume) who managed to find the Gnome games. There wasn't
anyone who asked where the start menu was, they just clicked the
Applications menu and got started.

Well hopefully we can raise some more interest with community centres
around Devon & Cornwall now as we've got an LTSP installation up and
running now to demonstrate it actually working.

Maybe if we can get one installed in Torbay we could then also try and
find community centres in other areas (say North Devon, Mid Devon, West
Devon & Cornwall).
