Web Developer/Systems Administrator

Our client is developing a range of revolutionary electronic musical
instruments for live stage performance.

Working for their highly qualified team this will be a demanding role
which will require total commitment if the business is to realise its
objective of being a major player in the global musical instrument /
software marketplace.

You will report to the Company's Technical Director.

Your Tasks:

To maintain and develop the company infrastructure of Linux servers,
Asterisk VOIP servers, broadband and VPN connections.

To develop, customise and maintain Intranet services to support the
growing needs of the company.

Working with Web Designers, develop and maintain the company web site
and E-commerce systems.

We generally prefer to adopt open source solutions to the above.

You will be working as part of a small team, so adaptability will be
required.
        
Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate will:
                                                        
Be completely comfortable working with Linux servers and the typical
unix based network services (ie, Apache, Bind, Dhcpd, Cups etc).

Be familiar with Python based tools for developing web sites (ie,
Django, Zope, Turbogears) and associated technologies like SQL,
Javascript, HTML and CSS.

Enjoy both code development in Python and general system administration.

Be degree qualified (or equivalent), possibly with post graduate
qualifications.
