Phone does not give the information on codecs. In the control panel there is a 
bandwidth saver option: the allows the user to choose which of the following 
settings were used:
- 30 kpbs
- 50 kpbs
- 90 kpbs

The phone is set at the highest setting, but following Gordons comments have moved 
the vonage from DECT to landline. Am waiting to hear if there has been any 
improvement

Currently still ploughing through the asterisk book... :(
