A couple of months ago I did a job for a friend who'd bought an Acer
laptop with Vista. This one had everything including the kitchen sink.
He didn't like Vista and wanted XP installing and suffice to say it
was a real pain to get drivers. I did eventually get English drivers
for Windows XP, I just couldn't understand why Acer would make their
customers jump through so many hoops to install XP.
IIRC I did try an Ubuntu Live CD and it worked first time.
