FireGPG is great, because you can add buttons to the main interface, so rather than just Send, Save Now and Discard. I have Send, Save Now, Discard, Clear Sign, Sign, Encrypt, Sign and Encrypt. It also automatically verifies signatures on incoming mail. However, it's quite annoying, because I don't know what characters GMail adds to the mail.

I don't directly use gpg via the gmail interface, so this has the
disadvantage that i can't sign/check emails when i am at work and using
the web front end but i do pop3 all the mails at home into thunderbird
where i do have gpg options available.
