Debian works on my "oldworld" PowerPC 5500/225.  Grantedly it's a PITA 
to get Debian on it in the first place, but once it's there it works 
nicely.  It's no speed machine, but it's perfectly usable as a low-end 
desktop.

Equally, free too good home if anyone wants it.  I think (although I 
can't remember... it's in my loft at the moment) it's has:
MacOS 8.6
36k modem
10/100 PCI NIC (standard cheap RealTek job... I think I put the Mac 
"drivers" on it)
TV Tuner
Video Input
Upgraded HDD to 20GB (I think)
