My key take aways:

- only listen to the first half of the recording (it is 1 hr 20 mins in its entirety)
- when you are repeating an action spend the time to look up the short cut
- CTRL N to autocomplete a word / phrase already used in that document
- amend the vimrc to add the following:
    set tw=0 wrap lbr
For emails and to make it easy to copy sections to word / openoffice
    set hls
So that when you search for a phrase all phrases with that are highlighted
To remove the highlight then the command is :nohls
And to search for word then * on a word
- Subscribe to the vim mailing list for tips

Many thanks for the link
