This should be a more generic thing - not just LTSP:
I have a dream where you can start with a cluster of 1 machine and add or
remove machines from that cluster at will and software adjusts to use whats
available.
This would be great for anyone - but especially business where there are
currently several fault lines to growth preventing smooth expansion (or
contraction).
SQL queries running slow? Dig out those old machines from the store cupboard
and plug into the network and turn them on, enter the cluster password to
join the cluster and away we go. Queries done, wasting power? Click the off
buttons.
Ditto for apache, etc etc. None of this seems to me to be beyond current
capabilities.
I do like the idea of having a COW man!
