I have a Windows XP laptop at work, and I would like to see how this installation of Ubuntu performs. I assume the actual performance of Ubuntu is slower than a genuine dual-booting system though? Also, how does this 'wubi' work - if I select Ubuntu at boot time, does Windows have to start up first, and it automatically then starts Ubuntu for me? (I know I'll see this for myself when I install it, but that won't be until late next week at the earliest.)
