Schools didn't have computers when I left !
 
The local tech college had one, a time-shared dial-up to Preston Poly's mainframe.
 
We had to use punch cards and paper tape !
 
Ah, the good old days !
 
Does any one remember the Altair 8800 ? *grin*

All I remember from school (about computing) is programming in Fortran
on coding sheets that were sent to the Education Committee's mainframe
in Winchester. We received a printout the following week IF the job
ran OK.

That and the HP programmable calculator with magnetic strip storage
that was circulated around all the 6th form colleges in Hampshire.
Lovely bit of kit, even if it did use RPN. I programmed in a lunar
lander game on that one.
