Glad to see PCLinuxOS getting some praise - I'm an old boy who has found it far and away the most USER-FRIENDLY Linux OS and we are NOT going to get converts to the cause like me if the OSs need a lot of technical expertise.

I've just installed PCLOS 2008 on an 850MHz AMD, 375Mb RAM, 17 Gb hard drive
that I'm giving to a friend and it runs very well. But it doesn't have
Kmail or Kontact on it's repositories which may be because of the instability
mentioned. Thunderbird seems OK so I think I'll leave it for now.
