1. Use doclifter and XML (xsltproc), it's much easier. (Don't worry
about build depending on xsltproc, just include the xml in your .diff.gz
and update the manpage manually when you change the XML.) See
emdebian-tools (SVN) for a suitable script.
2. txt2man may be misinterpreting the encoding - are you in UTF8
exclusively?
3. What you should get (with xsltproc) is : cross\-building so yes,
something is wrong with txt2man.
