Epson DX4400 £39.99
Epson DX7400 £59.99
Epson R285 £64.99

OKI

A good series (I am on my third series) of printers based on LED
technology and work with Ubuntu, Knoppix, PCLinuxOS, SuSE 9, SuSE10.x
 to my knowledge.
These are ok with Linux. About £150 to £250 for small ones , however
only B&W used by me, as I do not use colour.
