Debian is discussing the matter privately and various attempts are being made to work out what is going wrong with the availability of the source code and acknowledgement of Debian as the primary source of the code deployed on the device. AFAICT at the moment, it appears to be a fairly simple matter of a misconfigured server that is breaking during downloads. i.e. the location of the source code is known, the location is accessible and the company has not hidden or misappropriated the source code. Final confirmation is pending an inspection of the code once the server is fixed. The remaining issue is a technical one of someone with access being prompted to sort out the config of the server. It would appear sensible to also recommend that the server is mirrored because when it is fixed, it's likely to get hammered. I suspect incompetence rather than conspiracy. With all the tools available for downloading large single files, it's a pity that it has escalated into such an issue - a failure of decent preparation. -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.data-freedom.org/ http://www.nosoftwarepatents.com/ http://www.linux.codehelp.co.uk/
