I would appreciate it if details of the Penzance event were to appear on
the web site in such a way that one url will tell people everything. At
the moment the home page is really for members - meetings might be an
appropriate place with these meetings at the top with its own linked
page. But you will know best - whatever it is, it needs to be newcomer
friendly. Maybe a bold advert on the home page near the top.

Now I am not competent to do this and am likely to make a hash of it.
Would a member kindly volunteer to liaise with me over it. I have a
draft poster, which has gone to Stephen Rodda for a real graphics artist
to develop and publish. Meanwhile, it has a link on it to the home page
only. I have not put my telephone number on the poster but it should be
on the details page, perhaps with a link to a map - again, I am not
competent. I have a press release which is almost ready to go out and
this will have my number. Once it goes out, I may be asked for names as
I will say we can be contacted to assuage the inevitable curiosity about
Free Software and OS. The poster and the press release provide content
for the page.

Please can I have volunteers who would not mind being contacted by
papers, radio or TV - I hope at least the more venerable amongst you
would volunteer and perhaps some of the team coming on the days. You can
reply off list if you prefer.

If there is no other member coming to the Penzance days I am happy to
put any further admin to the team for the days rather than to the List -
unless you want to be informed about what we are planning.
