I don't see how this is progress. We've all been in software long enough to know that vague promises that major structural change X will be in version 2 never materialise. Because if they knew how to (or wanted) to make that change, it would have been done in version 1. There are exceptions of course, but they are slow in coming forward. Has the BBC actually laid out a plan for how a different version will appear? Or will the 6 monthly review just say "no progress was made".
