Hi Neil,

I don't know if this is the one you meant:

http://www.phoronix.com/

Also I found http://www.linhardware.com/ which seems to list hardware 
for sale (mostly on Ebay) that works in Linux

and this - Mandriva specific but may also help - 
http://www.mandriva.com/hardware
