Google are already doing the mail client via Gmail.

But I fail to see the "inventive step".

We saw Google doing it in all their software, so we did it in ours, I
don't think qualifies as "inventive".... but I'm not a patent examiner ;)

Does anyone running Google desktop search tool know if it reports
profiling information to Google?
