After the Spectrum I went on to an Amstrad CPC, and then on to the holy grail (for me anyway), an Atari 520STFM. I started off with a ZX81 when I was about 6 or 7, that was about 1985 ish. All I used to do was make patterns on the screen. I didn't have any grasp of typing in programs back then.
