If anyone is considering a new machine, I would personally recommend
amd64 over any i386 machine. For those with recent i386 machines it
probably isn't worth upgrading but for new machines, definitely go 64.

:-)

That's exactly why I like it. amd64 is a very popular architecture in
Debian (14% if memory serves).

I certainly don't need Flash or Skype. Time for the proprietary to
catch up, I think.
