Hey, I would suggest ffmpeg. I think, although I'm not certain, that it also handles WMV. The command to use would be: ffmpeg -i /path/to/input/file.wmv -sameq /path/to/output/file.avi the sameq option ensures that the same quality is used in the output as the input.
