Indeed although I'd call Eclipse rather different in the sense that it attempts
to target more than one language whereas Ajunta is C/C++ and Intellij is Java
only I guess.

I'd go with Textpad on the GUI text editor..

and vim on general purpose.

There is only one IDE: Anjuta.

Just like there is only one GUI text editor: gedit

and only one general purpose text editor: vim.
