I find email is faster to read, easier to navigate, can be archived by
me the way I want it and can be presented the way I choose.  I'm not
stuck with a badly thought out interface and there's minimal opportunity
for mucking about by people who appear to think that their "avatar" or
use of HTML tags is more important than anything they have to contribute
that's relevant to the topic.

(There'll be someone along shortly suggesting that what's required is a
Thunderbird-style interface in a web browser :)
