Might seem like a stupid question but can you play other DVDs ok is it
just this one giving trouble? Might also be worth a shot with another
player xine or gxine should play it as libdvdcss is installed.

I fixed it by typing /dev/cdrom in the device box. I've no idea why it couldn't work that out for itself with the aid of probe, but meh.
