I wonder if they'd be interested in giving a free Ubuntu CD to every pupil?

If it isn't costing them anything and it is clearly marked that support 
is avaliable only from sources such as the LUG, Ubuntu Forums etc and 
NOT the school itself, maybe they would be more interested?

If some event was organised then we could demonstrate something such as 
Edubuntu or the K12LTSP.
