he he, nice idea but the real probelm here is the users. Basicly I
have gone around and set everybodys password for them to something
reasonable now for mail access etc so that has secured things a bit.
Before a dictionary attack would have been *easily* possible now it is
more difficult.

I notice from the dovecot pages that the latest version supports more
selective access as i require but i am on debian stable.

I have also restricted access to a known subnet of ip addresses as the
roaming client gets its ip from a known pool this at least reduces the
possible attack sources
