Its slightly more difficult with the .asc file. With in line pgp you can just cut and paste the entire block from -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- to -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

but with a detached ASC file you would need to copy the raw email to the server some how, prehapse you can save it as a .eml file and let the server extract the .asc and process the entire file. None of which is particular difficult just requires a bit of time to do.

Programming my own webpage is a "bit" beyond my skills... :) but I need
to do something. Will think about it a bit more.

I'm willing to give things a go but a bit short of time at the moment. I might have a quick look at this its an interesting idea and I can see the benefits for people stuck with various propriety email systems etc. If the server had an SSL certificate then this should increase the trust level.
