Hi Robin,

Thanks for help - i've set the apache log level to "debug" (so it will log everything), and I get the following:

[Mon Mar 20 11:23:33 2006] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec)
[Mon Mar 20 11:23:33 2006] [info] Init: Initializing OpenSSL library

[Mon Mar 20 11:23:34 2006] [notice] LDAP: Built with OpenLDAP LDAP SDK
[Mon Mar 20 11:23:34 2006] [notice] LDAP: SSL support unavailable

on previous successfull startup I get the follwing:

[Sun Mar 12 04:04:05 2006] [notice] Digest: generating secret for digest authentication ...
[Sun Mar 12 04:04:05 2006] [notice] Digest: done
[Sun Mar 12 04:04:05 2006] [notice] LDAP: Built with OpenLDAP LDAP SDK
[Sun Mar 12 04:04:05 2006] [notice] LDAP: SSL support unavailable

I guese I might be something to do with the suexec?? If it has been enabled can you disable it??

Ideas welcome!

Cheers

Jody

Hi,

/var/log/syslog

or

/var/log/apache/error.log

Check in httpd.conf and any other configuration files that httpd.conf
includes for any log location look for "Errorlog" to see if the error
log is directed some where else. You may also wish to up the logging
level if you are having problems.

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/core.html#loglevel

Regards

Robin
