I've just read that a lot of MythTV users experience random problems with VIA's mini-ITXs.
It was a via MB but I moved to a nforce3, which stopped some of the errors but this one still crops up, it hasn't happened since this last time, but we are only 4 days in from last reboot :-)
I think it is either sata and/or smp kernel.
