debian:/home/edos# fdisk -l

Disk /dev/hda: 20.0 GB, 20003880960 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 2432 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

   Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System

/dev/hda6            1763        1902     1124518+  82  Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/hda7            1903        2432     4257193+  83  Linux

Disk /dev/sda: 513 MB, 513802240 bytes
16 heads, 32 sectors/track, 1960 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 512 * 512 = 262144 bytes

   Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1   *           1        1960      501744    b  W95 FAT32

Disk /dev/sda1: 2082.3 GB, 2082317979648 bytes

Units = cylinders of 512 * 512 = 262144 bytes

     Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1p1   *           1        1960      501744    b  W95 FAT32

None the wiser for the above, so tried:

debian:/home/edos# fdisk -l /dev/sda

Disk /dev/sda: 513 MB, 513802240 bytes
16 heads, 32 sectors/track, 1960 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 512 * 512 = 262144 bytes

   Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1   *           1        1960      501744    b  W95 FAT32
debian:/home/edos#

/dev/sda if entered in fstab gives me an error:

"mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1,
missing codepage or other error"

Same if I try /dev/sda1 and combinations of auto or vfat
