Hi all. Debian Sid, upgrade issues again. Last night I did an "apt-get update" followed by a nice "apt-get upgrade". All went swimmingly until... a broken dependency issue occured. Basically, I now have a system where whenever I try to install/remove/upgrade anything, I get the following: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these: The following packages have unmet dependencies: evolution: Depends: evolution-data-server (>= 1.2.3) but 1.0.4-1 is to be installed libx11-6: Depends: x11-common (> 4.3.0) but it is not going to be installed E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution). I have tried as it suggested and did a "fix broken packages" install: root@grants:/home/gsewell# apt-get -f install Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done Correcting dependencies... Done The following extra packages will be installed: evolution-data-server x11-common The following packages will be REMOVED: evolution-data-server1.2 The following NEW packages will be installed: x11-common The following packages will be upgraded: evolution-data-server 1 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 1 to remove and 109 not upgraded. 4 not fully installed or removed.
