Seriously, its quite easy to use a ODCB connector to make M$ Access talk to a 
mysql database. Having the data in a sql database opens many possibilities 
for data access. You can still use Access *clients* or VB,VC++ etc BUT ALSO 
php perl etc from server side web stuff. Depends on what you want and need to 
do really.

Haven't tried it myself, but here

with a bit about PostgreSQL + Access with ODBC.
