[LUG] installing inkscape

 

Hi
Am still trying to install inkscape.  I have tryed on suse 9.1, redhat 9 and fedora 
1 always coming against a lack of gtk+ even after updating.  Just tried installing 
the source code on fedora the last few lines are give below

configure: error: libgc (the Boehm Conservative Collector), is needed to compile 
inkscape

Everything else looks ok.
What am I doing wrong?
